Cross-laminated timber
An eco-friendly building material with high load-bearing capacity for walls, floors and roofs.
Cross-laminated timber (CLT) is an eco-friendly building material that opens up great possibilities for builders.
It is produced as panels of timber layers glued crosswise to one another under high pressure. The result is a building material with high load-bearing capacity for structural use in ceilings, roofs and walls. CLT elements from KLH are made to order for each project and delivered just in time.
The elements arrive on site cut to size with lifting loops, ready for installation. They can be supplied with a factory-applied breathable membrane, which protects the timber during installation and, when properly detailed, contributes significantly to the airtightness of the building. After installation, external wall elements are insulated on the outside and clad. Internal walls and ceilings are either clad, e.g. with plasterboard, or the outer timber layer is left exposed.
