Hótel Jökulsárlón, Reynivöllum

The project is a magnificent 120-room hotel at Reynivellir in Suðursveit. The central building features ribbed panels (KLT with pre-glued glulam beams) and steel reinforcements. The rest of the load-bearing structure is Nordic Swan Ecolabelled cross-laminated timber (CLT). Prefabricated bathroom pods from Greenbox were lifted onto the floor slabs during installation. Exposed timber is widely used for walls, ceilings and roofs.
